Planning is the Business Plan
Most people who have an idea for their own business will never write a business plan. They will  talk about what they want to happen, even how it could happen, but they won't commit the required action steps to a formal plan.
So, rather than defy the odds, make notes, have those discussions, maybe even create an audio or video as a business plan. Maybe that will lead to a written plan.
